Scene2.bin online editor

A short introduction to the scene2.bin editor

Scene2.bin online editor
Even though it might not seem like it, I’m still working hard and trying to create valuable content. One of these projects is the scene2.bin online editor, which is currently in a semi-functional phase, and I’ve decided to introduce it to you now.

The screen you’ll see when you open the editor
This is what an open scene2.bin file looks like

Current

The current features this program offers are
- Import and export scene2.bin
- Browsing files, editing files
- Reading and editing scripts
- Creating scripts, vehicles, and more
- Color-coded content types (Actors, Scripts, Frames, Sounds)
- Edit pedestrians and traffic

Content is divided into various categories
Option to edit traffic. These models will then spawn based on weight

So far, everything is going according to plan (I hope). I’m still working on implementing all the features needed to modify the file, mainly to get everything up and running. There are also a few things that are still a ways off, but I hope I’ll be able to implement them and get them 100% operational so they work as intended.

Scripts are color-coded as in Sublime Text
Sounds and their settings

What’s missing needs to be finished, and what else will it be able to do?

- A built-in script helper capable of detecting errors
- File import still needs some tweaking. A lot of tweaking.
- I'm not sure about the status of the scene2.bin export
- Some categories are still labeled incorrectly. Some vehicle models are labeled as DOOR.
- Bugs
Door settings

All that’s left to do is wait, keep my fingers crossed, and hope that I manage to get this editor to a functional stage. I’m not ruling out a later release as a classic desktop application! I hope this editor has piqued your interest, and if you have any questions, please leave a comment, and I’ll answer them as best I can!
